Free Kindy at Tarragindi Child Care and Development

Our Queensland Government–approved Free Kindy program offers children a supportive, play‑based learning experience in the year before school.

Eligible children can access 15 hours per week for up to 40 weeks a year, building confidence, wellbeing, and school readiness.

Delivered within our long day care setting, Free Kindy provides a familiar and nurturing environment to support a smooth transition to school.

• Inviting, spacious indoor learning spaces that open onto large natural outdoor environments, including a rocky water course emptying into a digging pit and shady trees throughout.

• Bush Kindy experiences for all children, fostering connection with nature and the local environment.

• Weekly Japanese immersion sessions for all ages, delivered by Konnichiwa Kids.

• Nutritious, fresh meals prepared daily by our Food Safety Supervisor; our kitchen holds a 4-Star Eat Safe rating.

• Nappies and bedding provided for babies, and nappies for toddlers.

• Air-conditioned facilities for comfortable play and rest year-round.
